This area is world renown for canoeing & kayaking. Only a small motor boat at best can be used in this area. One portage to the north (cascading waterfalls with a number of deep pools) takes you into La Brash lake, and one portage south takes you to the mighty Magnetawan where one can, if they so desire can travel all the way to Burks Falls or to the shores of Georgian Bay if they don't mind portages. Much of this area, especially to the west towards Georgian Bay is crown land. All this and a very reasonably priced cottage!
